A business located in the West Midlands has been honored with the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in the ‘Innovation’ category. Rem3dy Health, based in Smethwick, was recognized for their remarkable work in manufacturing 3D-printed nutritional gummy sweets.

The Lord Lieutenant of the West Midlands, Sir John Cabtree OBE, presented the award to the staff of Rem3dy Health in a ceremony held recently. In his address, the Lord-Lieutenant praised the company for their innovation and contribution to enterprise in the UK and its territories.

The King’s Award for Enterprise aims to celebrate businesses, both small and large, that demonstrate innovation in their products or services. Last year, the award was established by King Charles to acknowledge and reward outstanding achievements in this field.

Rem3dy Health’s Nourished brand, launched in 2019, has quickly grown despite facing challenges such as a pandemic and high inflation. The company now boasts almost 200 employees and specializes in developing and manufacturing 3D-printed products.

Customers have the option to personalize their selection of vitamins and supplements through an online consultation. These customized products are then printed on-demand at the company’s factory in Birmingham.

The driving force behind Rem3dy Health is award-winning female entrepreneur, Melissa Snover. Reflecting on receiving the King’s Award, Snover expressed her pride and gratitude for the recognition. She emphasized the company’s founding principles of innovation and their commitment to making a positive impact on the world.

The Nourished brand was among the 10 winners in the West Midlands selected for the King’s Award for Enterprise, out of a total of 262 recipients. It stood out as the only winner in the region in the Innovation category. Apart from her role at Rem3dy Health, Snover actively supports ‘Buy Women Built’, a platform that promotes and collaborates with female-owned businesses.

Passionate about inspiring the next generation of female entrepreneurs, Snover highlighted the importance of visibility and representation. She emphasized the need to showcase successful female entrepreneurs to inspire young people and change the narrative surrounding women in business. Through her involvement in initiatives like BWB, Snover aims to elevate the profile of female entrepreneurs and empower young individuals to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions.
