Convene 10.0 Brings Context-Aware AI to Board Governance

PRWire:

Convene’s latest release combines an embedded AI assistant, automated minutes and enhanced governance workflows, with human oversight at the centre.

Convene, the board governance platform, has introduced Convene 10.0, bringing new AI capabilities to the way directors, executives and corporate secretaries review information, document meetings and connect decisions with organisational history.

Announced on July 24, 2026, the release embeds what Convene calls Governance Intelligence directly into board workflows. Its guiding principle, “AI at the Core. Human-Led Governance,” reflects an approach in which technology supports governance professionals while people retain responsibility for decisions.

The focus is organisational context. Convene 10.0 brings AI assistance into the platform where board documents, discussions and decisions are already managed, helping users work with connected information across the meeting lifecycle.

AI Companion connects information across governance workflows

At the heart of the release is AI Companion, an embedded assistant that works across meetings, review rooms, resolutions and document repositories.

According to Convene, the assistant can summarise documents, highlight risks and decisions, retrieve historical records and answer natural-language questions grounded in organisational information.

Two capabilities support that functionality:

  • Context Intelligence connects meetings, documents, actions, decisions, resolutions and historical records, enabling responses informed by related governance materials.
  • Vision Intelligence interprets charts, diagrams, tables, presentations and other visual content within board documents.

For directors reviewing meeting materials, these capabilities are designed to make it easier to explore an issue, locate supporting information and understand its relationship with previous discussions or decisions.

Automated minutes support corporate secretaries

Convene 10.0 also introduces Automated Minutes, with support for recording and transcript uploads, speech-to-text processing, AI-assisted drafting, and action and decision extraction.

The functionality is designed to streamline minute preparation while corporate secretaries retain ownership of the process and control over the final record.

The release also includes Conflict of Interest Register enhancements, Admin Homepage improvements and workflow refinements intended to strengthen auditability and simplify governance administration.

Intelligence with human oversight

Convene’s approach places AI within established governance processes, with directors and corporate secretaries remaining accountable for their work and decisions.

“Organizations do not need more AI tools. They need AI embedded where governance work actually happens,” said Michael Yap in the launch announcement.

The release brings governance workflows, organisational context and AI assistance together in one platform, with the aim of helping boards and governance professionals work with greater clarity, efficiency and confidence.

Availability and product walkthroughs

Convene announced global availability of version 10.0 for existing and new customers, with flexible licensing options based on organisational governance needs and operational requirements.

Organisations can explore what’s new in Convene 10.0, request a product walkthrough, or contact their Convene account manager for further information.
