UK schools offered up to £100k funding for charge points with Pro EV

Pro EV, a company specializing in electric vehicle charging solutions, is collaborating with schools in the UK to facilitate access to government funding for electric vehicle charge points. Earlier this year, the Government increased the grant available for education settings, allowing state-funded schools, colleges, nurseries, and academies to receive up to 75% of the cost to purchase and install charge points, amounting to £2,500 per socket.

The funding, provided by the Department for Transport (DfT) as part of the Workplace Charging Scheme, aims to not only support educational institutions in transitioning to electric vehicles but also to potentially generate revenue by opening up their charge points to the public.

Pro EV has already successfully installed numerous EV charging stations in schools across the UK, contributing to a greener environment and enhanced infrastructure. Their comprehensive services include professional site surveys, expert advice, installation, and ongoing maintenance, offering a complete solution for all EV charging needs.

Paul Constable, the founder and CEO of Pro EV, emphasized the importance of tailoring each EV charging installation to meet the specific requirements of educational organizations. By working with Pro EV, schools can ensure that their EV charging infrastructure is customized to suit their unique needs and benefit from available grants to reduce costs.
