SQream and Google join forces for Machine Learning event

Share

As we head into 2025, AI remains the tech industry’s tour-de-force as it continues to disrupt industries and help organizations boost efficiency and productivity. Yet while solutions like ChatGPT represent an important tool, the industry needs to offer companies a much wider range of technologies in order to help them unlock transformative value.

On the hardware and infrastructure side, massive investments in chip technology and AI data centers – where spending is expected to exceed $1.4trn by 2027 – are setting the scene for increased AI adoption and the creation of the next generation of solutions.

But this only completes part of the picture. Software developers and engineers are critical to realizing the full potential of AI, yet the amount of talent currently outstrips demand. This is further complicated by the fact that AI requires developers to get ahead on an emerging skill set that has risen alongside the latest iterations of the technology.

For instance, a track record of investments to boost the availability and skills of cloud architects means that this subsection of the tech labor market is in balance. In contrast, DevOps Magazine identifies that data analytic developers and DevOps engineers are the roles facing the most critical skills gap.

Addressing this hurdle will require a continued focus on training and education with a range of immediate courses that help developers get up to speed on how to use emerging technologies for organizational growth.

To address this hurdle, SQream and Google are partnering up to deliver an exclusive training session that has a unique focus on accelerating Machine Learning (ML) workflows and transforming data analysis.

Google and SQream join forces on Machine Learning training

For AI to be a useful and usable technology, organizations need to see a return on their investment. This means that AI has to help unlock business value.

Data analysis is one of the biggest drivers here, helping organizations to lead with data-driven decisions on everything from supply chain management to customer strategy. To do so, the industry needs to be able to leverage models and tools that can efficiently handle vast and complex datasets.

Here, tech giant Google is teaming up with data acceleration experts SQream for Next-Level ML: Turbocharging workflows, to be held at Google Offices Electra Tower in Tel Aviv on December 18th, 09.30 am – 11.30 am (Israel Time).

The impactful event focused on accelerating ML workflows and transforming data analysis will offer the chance to gain insights from experts and industry leaders, harness Google Cloud Platform (GCP) vector databases and embeddings for faster results, learn about efficient ML with SQream’s high-performance engine and join a range of live demos.

VP Product at SQream, Matan Libis, will deliver a session on accelerating ML workflows. The opening talk will look at how SQream’s high-performance SQL SaaS analytical engine can revolutionize data pipelines and accelerate model training.

In addition, Libis will talk about new ways to handle data that save time and resources, by eliminating the need for data extraction and movement.

Further, when it comes to production-sized data, being able to reach predictions at a faster pace offers an important business edge. Here, Libis will explain how leveraging Google Cloud GPUs can significantly speed up training and inference and how to simplify ML with Python or SQL.

The event also plans to dedicate a significant portion of the training on databases which provide a key foundational layer within ML initiatives.

Oren Bouni, Customer Engineer at Google Cloud, will lead a talk on the latest updates from the Google Cloud Platform and its database technologies.

For instance, vector databases can transform data analysis outcomes, and the GCP now offers these in AlloyDB, AlloyDB Omni, and Spanner.

Bouni will also touch on how embedding data can elevate data analytic outcomes, while attendees have the chance to watch these concepts in action with an interactive demo.

Leading the final session of the day is James Pak, VP of Regional Engineering at SQream, to showcase the incredible potential of these techniques when put into action using real-world customer success stories showcasing how SQream accelerates ML and data-intensive workloads and delivers results.
