Share

Small-business owners looking to tap into federal contract opportunities can gain valuable insights at the “HUBZone Opportunity Workshop: Cody” on April 16th. Hosted by the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, the workshop will be presented by Devan Costa Cargill and Deb Farris from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Park County Library Cody Branch.

The workshop aims to educate entrepreneurs on how to become HUBZone-certified companies, providing access to federal contracting advantages. Interested participants can register for free at the Wyoming SBDC website.

The U.S. government presents a significant financial opportunity for small businesses, allocating at least 23 percent of federal contracting dollars to them. By becoming HUBZone-certified, small businesses in Park County, specifically in census tract 9654.02, can further leverage these opportunities.

Devan Costa Cargill, the Wyoming SBDC Network regional director, and Deb Farris, the deputy district director of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for Wyoming, will lead the workshop, offering valuable insights and guidance.

For more details and registration, individuals can contact Maureen Johnson, the marketing, communication, and database manager for the Wyoming SBDC Network, at (307) 343-0925 or via email at mjohn125@uwyo.edu. Don’t miss this chance to learn how to secure federal contract dollars for your small business and take advantage of the lucrative government contracts available.
