Katie Oertil Mooney, a Managing Director at Seramount, brings a wealth of experience and expertise as a leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. With a background in driving strategy and growth in this area, Katie has worked with a variety of organizations to implement change management, planning, and programs that promote diversity and inclusion.
Before joining Seramount, Katie served as Vice President at Jennifer Brown Consulting, where she oversaw client delivery, staffing, operations, and growth. Her responsibilities included successfully delivering consulting projects to clients ranging from Fortune 1000 companies to government agencies, startups, and nonprofits.
Prior to her role at Jennifer Brown Consulting, Katie managed the DEI enterprise learning and development strategy at Capital One, focusing on differential investment programming to support historically underrepresented talent and communities of color. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the GSBA, the largest LGBTQ and allied chamber of commerce in North America, where she is dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion for the benefit of the organization, its members, partners, and the LGBTQ+ community of Washington State.
Katie holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management with a concentration on Diversity and Inclusion Management from Georgetown University. Based in Seattle, WA, she continues to be a driving force in the DEI space, bridging divides and building for the future.
