The Importance of Recycling and Shredding: Join Us at the Recycle It! Fairs

Have you ever wondered what happens to your old tires or documents when you throw them away? Unfortunately, many of these items end up in landfills or even dumped illegally, causing harm to the environment. However, the good news is that there are opportunities to recycle and dispose of these items safely.

Join us at the upcoming Recycle It! Fairs on Saturday, November 18, organized by Keep Liberty Beautiful. These fairs provide a platform for residents of Liberty County to recycle and properly dispose of various items. The fairs will be held at the City Hall in Walthourville and the Liberty County Community Complex in Midway from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

One of the highlights of the event is the Tire Round-Up, organized in partnership with 104 Logistic LLC. This initiative aims to collect and recycle tires that would otherwise end up in landfills or inappropriate locations. By participating in the Tire Round-Up, you can contribute to the responsible disposal of tires and help prevent environmental damage.

At the Midway location, you will also have the opportunity to securely shred old documents and personal information with the assistance of Savannah Shredding Company. By shredding these items, you can protect yourself from identity theft and ensure the privacy of your sensitive information.

In addition to tires and documents, the Recycle It! Fairs accept various other items for recycling or safe disposal. You can bring electronics, household paint (in acceptable condition), CFLs and fluorescent light bulbs, used motor oil and antifreeze (in clean, disposable containers), household batteries, printer ink and toner cartridges, telephone books and large sale catalogs, books, prescription medications for Take Back, household goods and clothing, and shoes in good condition.

Join us this Saturday to make a difference and contribute to a cleaner and greener environment. For more information about the Recycle It! Fairs, please contact Keep Liberty Beautiful at (912) 880-4888 or [email protected]. Let’s recycle together!
